The Heavy Mob

Viscount - Shire Stallion

Viscount was a rescue horse and came to us 3 years ago. He is a Shire stallion. However when he came to us he was in such a poor condition he was not at all interested in the mares. However after a recovery period he has now produced a foal with Amy, named Poppy

Adam - Shire

Adam was rescued and in poor condition. The main problem being, he would not let you near his feet. After many years of patience we feel we are nearly there ! Time is a great healer.

Boxer - Shire

Boxer was born at the centre and has had a good life. Unfortunately his companion died and his owners thought it would be a good idea to return him to his place of birth, and donated him to us.

Henry - Clydesdale

Henry has been with us a long time and was brought to the centre with his owners.
He has quite a history and has tried everything from pulling wagons around the New Forest to Gypsy Caravan Holidays.
He is now retired.

Blossom - Ardennes

Blossom was born at the centre. Due to the fact she was born backwards she suffered a little brain damage. She is nicknamed "Blossom the Bulldozer"

Amy - Shire

Amy was born at the centre and has some foals. Naughty Nobby and just recently Poppy. She is sweet and kind natured.

Fred - Suffolk

Fred was rejected from the army 2 years ago as he grew too big for there parades. We plan to put him into harness eventually.

Smokey Joe- Shire

Smokey was purchased for several thousands of pounds and his owners planed to use him for weddings. Unfortunately it was discovered he had a rare foot condition. Therefore he came to live with us as he needs a lot of time spent on his feet every day. Some times Smokey Joe pulls the wagon rides.

Big Bob - Clydesdale

Bob was rescued in 2008 and was due to be sold for meat. We stepped in with the help of a donation to save him, and he will remain here.

Nobby

Nobby was rescued in poor condition (son of Amy). He took a lot of time and patience to gain his trust, but he is much better now.

Poppy - Shire

Poppy is our new generation of Shire . She was born here in 2007 and was a surprise to us all.

Rosie - Ardennes

Rosie came to the centre with her owners. She was famous for wagon rides in the New Forest. She used to pull the wagon here but has since retired and enjoying every minute.
